Ruben Austin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th match minute, BURTON ALBION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Incendio to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Godofredo Gaztea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BURTON ALBION's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremias Ferrando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Doug Stanley scored 0-5 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Austin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeremias Ferrando took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Austin. Ruben Austin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Ruben Austin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 36th minute Yüce Vecdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Rigoberto Cebrian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiberto Bermudo scored 0-8 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Austin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But to his dismay, Filiberto Bermudo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. After the first half Caprichosos FC were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Eneko to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Ferrando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruben Austin having to make a save. In the 52nd minute, Caprichosos FC's Doug Stanley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. The supporters of BURTON ALBION booed when Caprichosos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Ferrando didn't get a good kick on the ball.
