The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wakefield Vikings! Louis Basterfield shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Neil Bzeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ash Charles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Wakefield Vikings's goalkeeper Ash Charles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Byron Afful. Nicky Harrington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Wakefield Vikings's goalkeeper Ash Charles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neil Bzeu. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neil Bzeu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute Neil Bzeu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ash Charles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ash Charles came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Banbury United's Byron Afful. But to his dismay, Byron Afful quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Nicky Harrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, one of Wakefield Vikings:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ash Charles had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Louis Basterfield's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Louis Basterfield cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ash Charles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neil Bzeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ash Charles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicky Harrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ash Charles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Banbury United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
