Nils-Erik Aleberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 minutes, Villiam Palmkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Munktorp and the Surahammars IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Villiam Palmkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 6 minutes, Sven-Oskar Malmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Surahammars IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Oskar Malmberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th match minute, Munktorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uno Fransson to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Oskar Malmberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Tage Säf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Uno Fransson kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Per Matsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils-Erik Aleberg having to make a save. 19 minutes into the match, Munktorp's goalkeeper Tage Säf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Oskar Malmberg. After a rather tough play, Munktorp's Uno Fransson got a free kick in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Sven-Oskar Malmberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tage Säf was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Sven-Oskar Malmberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Surahammars IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Surahammars IF's zone, Per Matsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Erik Aleberg came out of the goal and Per Matsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Per Matsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Munktorp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Nils-Erik Aleberg came out of the goal and Otto Vennerlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Mathias Hedström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Otto Vennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Otto Vennerlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nils-Erik Aleberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Oskar Malmberg got free with Tage Säf in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Otto Vennerlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Lucas Alén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Wictor Cane sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tage Säf skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albert Skröder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tage Säf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Oskar Malmberg in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Paul Collin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Säf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Per Matsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nils-Erik Aleberg. The goal made the score 2-2. Sven-Oskar Malmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Säf having to interfere. In the 62ndth minute of the game Sven-Oskar Malmberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Munktorp's Tage Säf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Munktorp's Per Matsson got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathias Hedström kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Per Matsson notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Surahammars IF's Nils-Erik Aleberg. Nils-Erik Aleberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Otto Vennerlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Nils-Erik Aleberg made a huge save. When Uno Ennegren fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Surahammars IF's protests and gave Uno Ennegren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Surahammars IF's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Aleberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Surahammars IF's zone, Per Matsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Erik Aleberg came out of the goal and Per Matsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Munktorp booed when Surahammars IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Tolsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Otto Vennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villiam Palmkvist hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes, Surahammars IF's Wictor Cane shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tage Säf came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Surahammars IF reached it. In the 89th minute Albert Skröder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Säf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Skröder in the 90th minute of play forced Munktorp's goalkeeper Tage Säf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Oskar Malmberg during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Surahammars IF's Sven-Oskar Malmberg got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Munktorp's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Skröder came free, but Tage Säf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Munktorp supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Munktorp would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
