Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Karl-Johan Lindgren started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Henric Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Erik Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Dalgren hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Sven-Erik Nyberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henric Göransson in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Malcolm Morat put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Patrik Tomasson. In the 27th minute Henric Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Erik Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Björn Gunnarsson hit a great ball. Patrik Tomasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Morat, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Karl-Johan Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Nyberg having to interfere. Sven-Erik Nyberg made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Aron Karlsson sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Johan Lindgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Sven-Erik Nyberg made a huge save. In the 45thth minute of the game Henric Göransson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VfL Wolfsburg's Sven-Erik Nyberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Nyberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Johan Lindgren. After the first half VfL Wolfsburg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Malcolm Morat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sven-Erik Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Karlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Göransson in the 56th minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Erik Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Karlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Karl-Johan Lindgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Erik Nyberg. VfL Wolfsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Johan Lindgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sven-Erik Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Karlsson in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Göransson came free, but Sven-Erik Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Karl-Johan Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Erik Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Erik Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Karlsson in the 71st minute of the match. VfL Wolfsburg's Sven-Erik Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Karlsson in the 73rd minute of play. Jan Lindqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Lindqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sven-Erik Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Johan Lindgren in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Henric Göransson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rottneros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Aron Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Nyberg having to interfere. In the 87th minute Henric Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Erik Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Johan Lindgren succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Kjell Bivall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Patrik Tomasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Rottneros were the better team. Rottneros's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
