Martin Skogstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Bjørnå, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Oshaugen BK's Gustav Rognmo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Martin Skogstad in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gustav Rognmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Martin Skogstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theodor Vaage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ole-Gunnar Forbord in the 11th minute. Martin Skogstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Nordseth in the 18th minute of play. Ståle Norderhaug was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. Ståle Norderhaug kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Gjengstøen's Anders Mjøen got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Gjengstøen's Torjus Anfinsen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The supporters of Gjengstøen booed when Oshaugen BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Nordseth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Dramstad got in the 34th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Theodor Vaage. This was a shot which ended in a score of 3-0. After 39 played minutes Gjengstøen got a freekick which was hit by Even Askeland. Martin Skogstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Nordseth in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ole-Gunnar Forbord stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Oshaugen BK getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Chris Hage hit a great ball. Erik Bjørnå received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. The tension between the Gjengstøen and the Oshaugen BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Skogstad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gjengstøen had won after a very even match.
