Willemeau's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luc Van Parijs 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. BocaJuniors's Mathieux Berchmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffrey Valckeneers in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of BocaJuniors booed when Willemeau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guust Van der Vorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Guust Van der Vorst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieux Berchmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Liboton kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, BocaJuniors's Bobby Pannekoek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bertan Helsens. Bertan Helsens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

53 minutes into the match, BocaJuniors's goal looked a bit too open when Stein Schouters came free, but Mathieux Berchmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, BocaJuniors's Gerard Liboton got a free kick in the 54th minute. Cederik Lache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathieux Berchmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richmond Swiggers in the 58th minute of play forced Willemeau's goalkeeper Bertan Helsens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guust Van der Vorst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute Cederik Lache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieux Berchmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Stein Schouters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willemeau's supporters rose to their feet, but Stein Schouters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathieux Berchmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute of the match Jeff Rockloos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bertan Helsens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The BocaJuniors support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
