Aalbeked's supporters rose to their feet, but Willy Goolen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lennert Daneels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Aalbeked got a freekick which was hit by Ief Van dooren. In the 26th minute, Willy Goolen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Sparkling Team getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Arnauld Denturck hit a great ball. Willy Goolen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match was over Aalbeked could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sparkling Team throughout the match.
