The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesse Van Adorp got free with Bavo Van Dessel in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Dynamo Marx's goal looked a bit too open when Floris Van de Poel came free, but Thys Geraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bavo Van Dessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Musseeuw in the 18th minute of play. Dynamo Marx were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Olympus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carel Huysmans took the corner. The corner ended in Carel Huysmans almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Olympus FC's Bavo Van Dessel did a great save. Thys Geraerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Floris Van de Poel in the 22nd minute of play. Olympus FC were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Dynamo Marx's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hans Windelinckx took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Hans Windelinckx got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thys Geraerts quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 26th minute, Dries De Weyngaert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thys Geraerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Bavo Van Dessel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boris Musseeuw's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Boris Musseeuw who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympus FC's Bavo Van Dessel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jannick Maerschalckx's late challenge caught a Olympus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jannick Maerschalckx helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dynamo Marx's Jannick Maerschalckx got a free kick in the 39th minute. The supporters of Dynamo Marx booed when Olympus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Refael Vercasteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dynamo Marx were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Olympus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carel Huysmans took the corner. Bavo Van Dessel came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Dynamo Marx's Jesse Van Adorp. But to his dismay, Jesse Van Adorp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boris Musseeuw to strike the kick off in the second half. Thys Geraerts was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Hans Windelinckx capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hans Windelinckx really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boris Musseeuw in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bavo Van Dessel saved Olympus FC from getting behind. In the 64th minute, Boris Musseeuw made a precise shot to the right of Bavo Van Dessel. Olympus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. After 67 minutes, Floris Van de Poel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympus FC and the Dynamo Marx players grew even worse after the yellow card. Floris Van de Poel hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 70th play minute Floris Van de Poel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Thys Geraerts. 2-5. Thys Geraerts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Floris Van de Poel in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute Boris Musseeuw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bavo Van Dessel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannick Maerschalckx hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Bavo Van Dessel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Musseeuw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
