Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Codruț Macaneață made the kick off and thus started the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nicolae Enoiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valer Onișoru. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 9th minute Codruț Macaneață shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Isăilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Nae Beniuc could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Valer Onișoru however easily saved by the left post. After 21 minutes of play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Gigi Bobei made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nistor Isăilă was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Mihăilescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Nistor Isăilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nistor Isăilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codruț Macaneață, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Valer Onișoru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nae Beniuc. 35 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Enoiu came free, but Valer Onișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's zone, Cristinel Iurea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valer Onișoru came out of the goal and Cristinel Iurea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Codruț Macaneață had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nistor Isăilă. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Codruț Macaneață was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 42 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Iurea came free, but Valer Onișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valer Onișoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Iurea in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Nae Beniuc made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Macaneață came free, but Nistor Isăilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gigi Bobei took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Sorin Nicorici heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 58 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Culcer. When Nae Beniuc came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nae Beniuc couldn't finish the play. Valer Onișoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nae Beniuc in the 63rd minute of play. Cristinel Iurea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valer Onișoru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca got a corner. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mihai Lucrețiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Nae Beniuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Felix Mihăilescu got a free kick in the 75th minute. Valer Onișoru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Iurea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Şimonca to maneuver through the defense. Cristinel Iurea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristinel Iurea took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valer Onișoru. Valer Onișoru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Cristinel Iurea came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Iurea couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
