After a defensive mix-up in Bornova's zone, Quique Acuña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdi Saygın Özerek came out of the goal and Quique Acuña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Hilbert Grevsby. In the 48th minute, Quique Acuña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. J.J Macias was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Şaban Hatırlı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdi Saygın Özerek was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. ÖZDEMİRLER 37 SK's Ersin Üstay was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abdi Saygın Özerek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 66th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onisim Olabe to maneuver through the defense. Abdi Saygın Özerek came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by ÖZDEMİRLER 37 SK's Quique Acuña. But to his dismay, Quique Acuña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Kutlay Rafih was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of ÖZDEMİRLER 37 SK booed when Bornova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutlay Rafih didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bornova's Abdi Saygın Özerek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Bornova from getting a goal against them. With his leg Abdi Saygın Özerek managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when ÖZDEMİRLER 37 SK's Quique Acuña fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quique Acuña in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdi Saygın Özerek saved Bornova from getting behind. Innokentiy Dudarev's late challenge caught a ÖZDEMİRLER 37 SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Innokentiy Dudarev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Innokentiy Dudarev to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ÖZDEMİRLER 37 SK booed when Bornova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onisim Olabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Bornova's goalkeeper Abdi Saygın Özerek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quique Acuña. 90 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Ersin Üstay came free, but Abdi Saygın Özerek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hayrullah Er kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling J.J Macias in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mo Jun Yang prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
