GREENPEACE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halikarnas Futbol Kulubu the free kick. After a rather tough play, GREENPEACE's Özgür Turgut got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, GREENPEACE's goalkeeper Teodor Mihădaș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Talat Yavuzay. Gökhan Şendoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bedir İpekli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodor Mihădaș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baturay Tarab's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Baturay Tarab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Mihădaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gökhan Şendoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökhan Şendoğan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bedir İpekli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Teodor Mihădaș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturay Tarab in the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Talat Yavuzay in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodor Mihădaș saved GREENPEACE from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Baturay Tarab reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teodor Mihădaș. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baturay Tarab in the 40th minute of play forced GREENPEACE's goalkeeper Teodor Mihădaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gökhan Şendoğan was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, GREENPEACE's goal looked a bit too open when Baturay Tarab came free, but Teodor Mihădaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gökhan Şendoğan came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the GREENPEACE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gökhan Şendoğan couldn't finish the play. Halikarnas Futbol Kulubu's Hurşit Rafet was substituted for Talat Yavuzay. In the 60th minute, Baturay Tarab ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodor Mihădaș was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Teodor Mihădaș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturay Tarab in the 62nd minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baturay Tarab couldn't finish the play. In the 92ndth minute of the game Hurşit Rafet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREENPEACE's Teodor Mihădaș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute Hurşit Rafet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Mihădaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Halikarnas Futbol Kulubu's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
