Spang FC's Zafran Low got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Dartsmouth United's Alam Liang got a free kick in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Dartsmouth United's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Sim came free, but Alex Soon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Spang FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zak Kang came free, but Arif Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Soon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Sim in the 19th minute of the match. Alex Soon made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Alexander Sim sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Sim in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Soon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arif Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronn Hoe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spang FC were furious when Jerry Hongyi was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 32nd minute, one of Spang FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Spang FC. Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hian in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match, Alexander Sim got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alex Soon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some careless play in the Spang FC defense, Zak Kang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arif Lim. The Spang FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arif Lim should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Ronn Hoe notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Spang FC's Arif Lim. Arif Lim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Spang FC's Alexander Sim got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danish Choy in the 58th minute of play forced Dartsmouth United's goalkeeper Alex Soon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Zak Kang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spang FC's Arif Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danial Dryburgh in the 68th minute of play. Sean Sim's late challenge caught a Dartsmouth United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sean Sim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Sean Sim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Faris Peng came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Dartsmouth United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faris Peng couldn't finish the play. During the 73rd minute of the match Sean Sim completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sean Sim a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Alexander Sim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Alex Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Sim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Soon having to interfere. When Joel Ning came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Spang FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Ning couldn't finish the play. The Dartsmouth United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
