Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Payton Hamilton started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Mellis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allen Claringbold to maneuver through the defense. Dan Richard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Kean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cirilo Ciceron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Britton Oconnell made a huge save. In the 8th minute Payton Hamilton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Richard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Linhares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Britton Oconnell having to make a save. Cirilo Ciceron in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Britton Oconnell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Britton Oconnell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erivaldo Linhares's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Cirilo Ciceron took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Britton Oconnell to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Maitland's Payton Hamilton got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Maitland's Britton Oconnell got control of the ball when Kleanthis Nestoridis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Mellis's Erivaldo Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Britton Oconnell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 41st match minute, Maitland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iggi Wenham to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Mellis's Erivaldo Linhares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Britton Oconnell. Britton Oconnell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 45th minute, Cirilo Ciceron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cirilo Ciceron to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Allen Claringbold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Britton Oconnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Britton Oconnell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cirilo Ciceron went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Arthur Kean hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Cirilo Ciceron succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. After 59 minutes of play, Mellis's Cirilo Ciceron made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Britton Oconnell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Britton Oconnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Ciceron in the 63rd minute of play. Britton Oconnell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fletcher Rizzardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A collision led to Mellis getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Allen Claringbold hit a great ball. Britton Oconnell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cirilo Ciceron went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maitland's goalkeeper Britton Oconnell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erivaldo Linhares hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Arthur Kean's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dan Richard firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 80th minute Kleanthis Nestoridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Britton Oconnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mellis's Dan Richard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humphrey Wilde in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Cirilo Ciceron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Richard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humphrey Wilde, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Pearce Venz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 91 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, one of Mellis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mellis. The goalkeeper, Dan Richard, was totally fooled by Maitland's Dalton Norman, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Mellis's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
