Wodonga United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Ryan Oshea scored to the left of an out of position Alexander Baxter, making the score, 5-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eddy Willison to make the kick off. Alexander Baxter came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Inamotos's Eddy Willison. But to his dismay, Eddy Willison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. 59 minutes into the game, Eliot Foley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Alexander Baxter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Wodonga United booed when Inamotos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murphy Greenan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irwin Stevens was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Brad Colling capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brad Colling really showed his touch with that goal: 7-3. With his leg Irwin Stevens managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Wodonga United's Brad Colling fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Berkeley Loch in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Irwin Stevens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 93rd minute, Wodonga United's Ernest Pegrum dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-5. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Inamotos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wodonga United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
