The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roger Flor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sam Baldwin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Flor in the 7th minute of play forced U21 Andorra's goalkeeper Sam Baldwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sam Baldwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucero Mezquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of U21 Andorra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Spain:s goal. Sam Baldwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from C.J. La Marca in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, U21 Andorra's goal looked a bit too open when C.J. La Marca came free, but Sam Baldwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to U21 Spain getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Constancio Llinares hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Lucero Mezquita sped through U21 Andorra's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sam Baldwin. After 39 minutes, Tony Froggatt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Andorra and the U21 Spain players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to U21 Andorra getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Tony Froggatt hit a great ball. C.J. La Marca scored 0-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sam Baldwin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ruy Carballeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sam Baldwin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucero Mezquita's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The U21 Andorra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Spain were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cody Hales made a kick off. Sam Baldwin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Flor in the 53rd minute. U21 Andorra's Sam Baldwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucero Mezquita in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, U21 Spain's Roger Flor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 60th minute, Lucero Mezquita had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barney Flack during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to U21 Andorra getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Barney Flack hit a great ball. Sam Baldwin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guter Acosta in the 63rd minute. Cody Hales's late challenge caught a U21 Spain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cody Hales helped the player get up and apologised. 76 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's Ruy Carballeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sam Baldwin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roger Flor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Sam Baldwin made a huge save. In the 79thth minute of the game Roger Flor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Andorra's Sam Baldwin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Andorra's zone, Ruy Carballeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sam Baldwin came out of the goal and Ruy Carballeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roger Flor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Sam Baldwin made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, U21 Andorra's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Carballeira came free, but Sam Baldwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, U21 Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Platon Dorado to maneuver through the defense. Billy Peacock was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded U21 Spain left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U21 Andorra.
