Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén Litago in the 28th minute of the match. U21 Andorra's Wes Case managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Seve Sevilla in the 30 minute of the game. U21 Spain's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Paulo Dybala scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Taules, making the score, 1-0. Gustavo Taules made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Milton in the 38th minute of play. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubén Litago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rubén Litago to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the game Louis Rashleigh made a throw-in which Paulo Dybala played forward. A collision led to U21 Andorra getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Kurt Milton hit a great ball. U21 Spain made a substitution. Xabat Figueroa replaced Pau Casals. U21 Spain made a substitution. Clive Burr replaced Jonas Marcos. 66 minutes in the game Clive Burr did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Baldemar Losantos. Gustavo Taules showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Dybala, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 69 minutes of play, U21 Spain's Baldemar Losantos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Cañizares was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Andorra's Mustafa Kemal El Abidine Ben Ali was substituted for Kurt Milton. U21 Andorra's Edinson Cavani was substituted for Paulo Dybala. Fermín Verdu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Santiago Cañizares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Baldemar Losantos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Andorra's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iratze Toxeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Spain's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Iratze Toxeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santiago Cañizares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. U21 Andorra's Edinson Cavani got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Cañizares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baldemar Losantos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 94 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U21 Spain eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
