Cromer FC

Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Doug Armstrong made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Doug Armstrong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Aaron McIan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 8 played minutes Dunoon FC got a freekick which was hit by Phil Dobbie. Aaron McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Faulkner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Graeme Rice took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Aaron McIan to make any attempt to save it. Aaron McIan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dennis Faulkner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 16 minute of play. Aaron McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Faulkner in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Phil Dobbie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Clist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Dennis Faulkner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cromer F's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Faulkner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron McIan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Dunoon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Graeme Rice came free, but Aaron McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Dunoon FC defense, Graeme Rice kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron McIan. The Dunoon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron McIan should have stopped the shot. Aaron McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Rice in the 42nd minute of play. Aaron McIan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doug Armstrong in the 43rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Doug Armstrong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron McIan was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Dunoon FC defense, Graeme Rice kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron McIan. The Dunoon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron McIan should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phil Dobbie to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Faulkner in the 57th minute of play forced Dunoon FC's goalkeeper Aaron McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wal McLairish fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunoon FC's protests and gave Wal McLairish a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Dunoon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wal McLairish to maneuver through the defense. Dunoon FC's Aaron McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Armstrong in the 63rd minute of play. Aaron McIan came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Cromer F's Graeme Rice. But to his dismay, Graeme Rice quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. If Junior Shipperley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme Rice in the 73rd minute of play forced Dunoon FC's goalkeeper Aaron McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wal McLairish was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cromer F's Dennis Faulkner got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aaron McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug Armstrong in the 77th minute of play. Aaron McIan came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Cromer F's Graeme Rice. But to his dismay, Graeme Rice quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. Dunoon FC's Aaron McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Armstrong in the 81st minute of play. Junior Shipperley took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron McIan. Aaron McIan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. 86 minutes into the game, Cromer F's Junior Shipperley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aaron McIan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. Aaron McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graeme Rice, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Dunoon FC's Kenny Haws got a free kick in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Dunoon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Faulkner came free, but Aaron McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Graeme Rice notched a goal, 14-0, to the right of Dunoon FC's Aaron McIan. Aaron McIan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aaron McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug Armstrong in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Cromer F players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
