In the 4th minute, Glenn Jump sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Walkerburn AF's Richard Frizell didn't even have to move. If Doug Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Frizell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Graeme Rice's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Doug Armstrong scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Richard Frizell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Alex Barbour was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walkerburn AF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cromer F the free kick. A collision led to Walkerburn AF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Alex Barbour hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Graeme Rice notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Walkerburn AF's Richard Frizell. Richard Frizell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Richard Frizell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Faulkner, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Raymond Lonie struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Dane Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walkerburn AF. Richard Frizell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Armstrong's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Cromer F's goalkeeper Dane Clist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamish Cavanagh. Dane Clist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamish Cavanagh in the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Faulkner in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Frizell saved Walkerburn AF from getting behind. After some careless play in the Walkerburn AF defense, Graeme Rice kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Frizell. The Walkerburn AF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Frizell should have stopped the shot. Richard Frizell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graeme Rice, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Richard Frizell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doug Armstrong in the 40th minute of the match. Hamish Murdoson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Cromer F's goalkeeper Dane Clist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamish Cavanagh. Richard Frizell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graeme Rice in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Doug Armstrong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Frizell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Hamish Murdoson made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Doug Armstrong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cromer F's supporters rose to their feet, but Doug Armstrong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Frizell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamish Murdoson in the 55th minute of play. Dennis Faulkner struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Richard Frizell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cromer F. When Graeme Rice came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Cromer F fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graeme Rice couldn't finish the play. Doug Armstrong took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Richard Frizell. Richard Frizell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Cromer F's Graeme Rice got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Walkerburn AF's goal looked a bit too open when Graeme Rice came free, but Richard Frizell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Faulkner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Richard Frizell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Doug Armstrong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Richard Frizell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Richard Frizell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graeme Rice, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Walkerburn AF's goalkeeper Richard Frizell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doug Armstrong. Richard Frizell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doug Armstrong in the 86th minute. In the 94th minute Dennis Faulkner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Frizell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Walkerburn AF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Stevenson to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the game, Dennis Faulkner recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Richard Frizell. Dennis Faulkner showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9.
