The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graeme Rice during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Graeme Rice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doug Armstrong might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Ramsden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doug Armstrong ran back to his position shaking his head. Michael Ramsden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doug Armstrong in the 13th minute of the match. Doug Armstrong scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Ramsden, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Stevie Pell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cromer F's Dane Clist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Cromer F from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Cromer F's goalkeeper Dane Clist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralf Stonebridge. Ivan Weedon struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Dane Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foulsham Ci. After 33 minutes of play, Foulsham Ci's Ivan Weedon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dane Clist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michael Ramsden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doug Armstrong in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Cromer F's Dennis Faulkner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Ramsden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 44 minutes into the match, Foulsham Ci's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Faulkner came free, but Michael Ramsden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Foulsham Ci fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Cromer F. Glenn Jump stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Michael Ramsden. 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Weedon to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Junior Davenport managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foulsham Ci's supporters crossed their fingers, but Junior Davenport was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute Dennis Faulkner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Ramsden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Ramsden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Graeme Rice went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Junior Shipperley's late challenge caught a Foulsham Ci's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Junior Shipperley helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cromer F's Junior Shipperley got a free kick in the 61st minute. The Foulsham Ci fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Foulsham Ci's Ivan Weedon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Romeo Panther kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Dennis Faulkner struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Michael Ramsden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cromer F. After having played for 68 minutes, Doug Armstrong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dane Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foulsham Ci. After some careless play in the Cromer F defense, Ivan Weedon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dane Clist. The Cromer F fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dane Clist should have stopped the shot. Dennis Faulkner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Ramsden having to interfere.
