Henry Hernández recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aleksandr Soldatenkov kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Januario Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslav Pristavkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Henry Hernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Innokentiy Blyakhin made a huge save. Vsevolod Kryukov charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vsevolod Kryukov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kazakhstan getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Vsevolod Kryukov hit a great ball. In the 33rd of the match, Agustin Pinho tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Innokentiy Blyakhin got in the way and made a wonderful save. When Esteban Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Esteban Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Esteban Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes, Kazakhstan's Aleksandr Soldatenkov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Januario Alfaro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kazakhstan reached it. Innokentiy Blyakhin came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Henry Hernández. But to his dismay, Henry Hernández quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 41 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Miroslav Pristavkin came free, but Januario Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Hernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Innokentiy Blyakhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Innokentiy Blyakhin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Hernández, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Hernández made a kick off. After some careless play in the Kazakhstan defense, Henry Hernández kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Innokentiy Blyakhin. The Kazakhstan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Innokentiy Blyakhin should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the game, Henry Hernández cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Innokentiy Blyakhin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Kazakhstan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Simashko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henry Hernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Innokentiy Blyakhin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Hernández, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 63 played minutes Kazakhstan got a freekick which was hit by Ilya Makarkin. Arnoldo Ancheta took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Innokentiy Blyakhin. Innokentiy Blyakhin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Henry Hernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Innokentiy Blyakhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kazakhstan made a substitution. Klim Shteinberg replaced Oleg Salenko. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aleksandr Soldatenkov during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Aleksandr Soldatenkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Salvador's Jonathan Zurdiņš was substituted for Arnoldo Ancheta. Aleksandr Soldatenkov kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Arnoldo Guzman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Innokentiy Blyakhin was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Innokentiy Blyakhin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Guzman in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Ilya Makarkin suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Arnoldo Guzman's late challenge caught a Kazakhstan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Guzman helped the player get up and apologised. Kazakhstan's May Demyanenko was substituted for Ilya Makarkin. In the 79th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Guzman to maneuver through the defense. Innokentiy Blyakhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnoldo Guzman in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Innokentiy Blyakhin saved Kazakhstan from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Arnoldo Guzman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Blyakhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Arnoldo Guzman put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Innokentiy Blyakhin. El Salvador's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
