Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Afşar Üke started the match with the kick off. Sezai Yura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Bobeanu in the 8th minute of the match. U21 Turkey's Sezai Yura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Bobeanu in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çağdaş Ronaldinho in the 11th minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper William Zombori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cengiz Ulutaş during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When U21 Romania's Adrian Bobeanu in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Turkey's goalie prevented a goal. 16 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Tore-Andre Flo came free, but William Zombori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Adrian Bobeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sezai Yura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sezai Yura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Bobeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Gigel Gologan kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. William Zombori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afşar Üke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24thth minute of the game Afşar Üke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Romania's William Zombori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Tore-Andre Flo made a precise shot to the right of William Zombori. U21 Romania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to U21 Romania getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Narcis Crișan hit a great ball. After some careless play in the U21 Romania defense, Çağdaş Ronaldinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of William Zombori. The U21 Romania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that William Zombori should have stopped the shot. Çağdaş Ronaldinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. William Zombori came out and tried to block the shot, but Çağdaş Ronaldinho slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute. Cengiz Ulutaş made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alp Arslan. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
U21 Romania's Bon Čáp was substituted for David Chifu. U21 Romania made a substitution. Costel Cotuțiu replaced Costică Vătavu. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Bobeanu made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, U21 Turkey's goalkeeper Sezai Yura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Bobeanu. William Zombori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çağdaş Ronaldinho in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çağdaş Ronaldinho in the 57th minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper William Zombori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sezai Yura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Bobeanu in the 58th minute. Bon Čáp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Turkey made a substitution. Arda Güler replaced Çağdaş Ronaldinho. U21 Turkey's Denizhan Ünüvar was substituted for Afşar Üke. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavius Bărbat in the 65th minute of play forced U21 Turkey's goalkeeper Sezai Yura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Flavius Bărbat managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Romania's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavius Bărbat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sezai Yura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U21 Turkey's Doctor Sócrates was substituted for Rahmi Şerafeddin. In the 72nd minute Arda Güler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Zombori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sezai Yura was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Flavius Bărbat capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Flavius Bărbat really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. 83 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Denizhan Ünüvar came free, but William Zombori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Romania's William Zombori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arda Güler in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denizhan Ünüvar in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Zombori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. U21 Turkey's Denizhan Ünüvar took a good shot, in the 90th minute, which hit the crossbar above William Zombori's head, and flew over the goal. U21 Romania's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by U21 Turkey. William Zombori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denizhan Ünüvar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William Zombori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doctor Sócrates in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Gheorghe Popescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
