The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Robert Duszenski got the match started through his kick off. Alex Méret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stasio Wyrzykowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasio Wyrzykowski in the 5th minute of play forced U21 Switzerland's goalkeeper Alex Méret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Méret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasio Wyrzykowski in the 8th minute of play. Carlos Nussbaum kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Gniech in the 14th minute of play forced U21 Switzerland's goalkeeper Alex Méret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Carlos Nussbaum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julian Chazon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alex Méret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waclaw Gniech in the 25th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, U21 Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Stasio Wyrzykowski came free, but Alex Méret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Robert Duszenski put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alex Méret. U21 Switzerland's Alex Méret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Duszenski in the 34th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Carlos Nussbaum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Waclaw Gniech hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mieszko Komornicki got free with Alex Méret in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Méret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Duszenski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Duszenski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Méret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Duszenski in the 88th minute of the match. Waclaw Gniech took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Méret. When the match was over U21 Poland could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than U21 Switzerland throughout the match.
