Seating: 3316, VIP seats: 288) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Koča Kafarov made the kick off which started today's match. Perry Moran came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Turkey's Koča Kafarov. But to his dismay, Koča Kafarov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mert Günok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breen Todd, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. U21 Ireland were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after U21 Turkey's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lou Deans took the corner. A collision led to U21 Ireland getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bradon Grant hit a great ball. Perry Moran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Koča Kafarov went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute Koča Kafarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perry Moran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anıl Ege Ülger succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Perry Moran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anıl Ege Ülger in the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, U21 Turkey's Anıl Ege Ülger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perry Moran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 35 minutes into the match, U21 Turkey's Koča Kafarov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perry Moran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Koča Kafarov in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perry Moran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Öztürk Has almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Ireland's Perry Moran did a great save. Koča Kafarov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Moran having to interfere. U21 Turkey's Koča Kafarov got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to U21 Turkey getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Necip Uysal hit a great ball. Edson Pele scored 1-4 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mert Günok, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bradon Grant stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Perry Moran made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Faruk Nafiz Eryilmaz sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Perry Moran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anıl Ege Ülger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Baki Tecimer was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. U21 Turkey made a substitution. Cemal Dağasan replaced Anıl Ege Ülger. Mert Günok had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Torrey Molloy's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Koča Kafarov came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the U21 Turkey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Koča Kafarov couldn't finish the play. Faruk Nafiz Eryilmaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Moran having to interfere. After a rather tough play, U21 Ireland's Adamnan Willson got a free kick in the 77th minute. It was beautiful to see U21 Turkey's Faruk Nafiz Eryilmaz in action when he in the 78th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! U21 Turkey's Ferdinho Yarangga was substituted for Çetinkaya Alex. Sergen Kartal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Moran having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Perry Moran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergen Kartal. 85 minutes into the match, U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Perry Moran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergen Kartal. U21 Ireland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergen Kartal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. U21 Turkey's Mert Günok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torrey Molloy in the 98th minute of play. U21 Turkey's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
