That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, U21 Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Wiggo Wipp came free, but Anton Davids reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Belgium's Yens Roeckeloos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cees Remmelts in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Netherlands's zone, Matthy Van Linthout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Davids came out of the goal and Matthy Van Linthout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Spas Spitzmüller got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yens Roeckeloos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. U21 Belgium's Yens Roeckeloos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cees Remmelts in the 24th minute of play. Wiggo Wipp took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Davids. Anton Davids dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiggo Wipp in the 30th minute of play forced U21 Netherlands's goalkeeper Anton Davids to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Belgium's Yens Roeckeloos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cees Remmelts in the 33rd minute of play. Pascal Van Geele kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. U21 Belgium's Yens Roeckeloos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Belgium from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Renaut Cools's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anton Davids was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cees Remmelts got free with Yens Roeckeloos in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cees Remmelts couldn't finish the play. The supporters of U21 Netherlands booed when U21 Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marten Teurfs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yens Roeckeloos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levi Schaap in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Cees Remmelts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Matthy Van Linthout hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Ron Been took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yens Roeckeloos. U21 Belgium's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 Netherlands fully deserved thier win.
