Seating: 1185, VIP seats: 103) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Buttliger made the kick off which started today's match. Di-Pinto Pintos hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes U21 Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Di-Pinto Pintos. 15 minutes into the match, U21 Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Van Damme came free, but Derek Leutwyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derek Leutwyler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Van Damme in the 17th minute of the match. U21 Switzerland's Derek Leutwyler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orval Drinkwater in the 18th minute of play. Dominic Meier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rolf Vanneste made a huge save. In the 30th minute Tuur Van hoeijveld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Leutwyler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derek Leutwyler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orval Drinkwater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Switzerland's Derek Leutwyler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di-Pinto Pintos in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Lorenzo Deroek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlo Becker's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but U21 Belgium's Rolf Vanneste knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. During the 35th minute of the match Di-Pinto Pintos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Di-Pinto Pintos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 36th match minute, U21 Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Di-Pinto Pintos to maneuver through the defense. Derek Leutwyler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Van Damme in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Belgium's zone, Harold Gielen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Vanneste came out of the goal and Harold Gielen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, U21 Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Karel Van Engelen came free, but Derek Leutwyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Dominic Meier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolf Vanneste. The goal made the score 1-0. 47 minutes into the match, U21 Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Van Damme came free, but Derek Leutwyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orval Drinkwater made a kick off. Harold Gielen struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Rolf Vanneste didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Switzerland. Rolf Vanneste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Meier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orval Drinkwater took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derek Leutwyler. Derek Leutwyler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 59th minute, Orval Drinkwater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolf Vanneste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominic Meier in the 61st minute of play. U21 Belgium's Rolf Vanneste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Meier in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harold Gielen during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of U21 Belgium booed when U21 Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harold Gielen didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Switzerland's Sven Streit was substituted for Jean-Baptiste Le Bastard. U21 Switzerland's Sergey Brin was substituted for Harold Gielen. In the 72nd match minute, U21 Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harold Gielen to maneuver through the defense. Derek Leutwyler didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 75th match minute, U21 Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orval Drinkwater to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, U21 Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Vittore Tschopp came free, but Rolf Vanneste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Van Damme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Leutwyler having to interfere. Rolf Vanneste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Becker in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, U21 Belgium's Dimitry Theijs got a free kick in the 89th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U21 Belgium had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
