Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Örlaugur Magnússon started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of U21 Israel booed when U21 Iceland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guðfreður Valbjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Zahir Amsterdam made a precise shot to the right of Vörður Ævarsson. U21 Iceland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vörður Ævarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Judd Bendor in the 16th minute of play. Bergþór Rúnarsson charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bergþór Rúnarsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to U21 Iceland getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bergþór Rúnarsson hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Ísidór Jónsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zahir Amsterdam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vörður Ævarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Iceland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gadi Yamin was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Israel's players had a chance to rest. In the 33rd minute Zahir Amsterdam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vörður Ævarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th match minute, U21 Iceland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jóhannes Skaptason to maneuver through the defense. Vörður Ævarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zahir Amsterdam in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Iceland's zone, Judd Bendor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vörður Ævarsson came out of the goal and Judd Bendor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Zahir Amsterdam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vörður Ævarsson. U21 Iceland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zahir Amsterdam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The wind increased when Zahir Amsterdam made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Jóhannes Skaptason mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Iceland and the U21 Israel players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute Bergþór Rúnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamir Gavri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th play minute Judd Bendor came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vörður Ævarsson. 0-3. Vörður Ævarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zahir Amsterdam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vörður Ævarsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Judd Bendor in the 71st minute of play forced U21 Iceland's goalkeeper Vörður Ævarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Judd Bendor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vörður Ævarsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. U21 Israel made a substitution. Zeke Gurevich replaced Judd Bendor. In the 81st match minute, U21 Israel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gadi Yamin to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, U21 Iceland's Bergþór Rúnarsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tamir Gavri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U21 Iceland reached it. Gili Zackri kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Iceland booed when U21 Israel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guiseppe Engelberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The U21 Israel players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
