Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Iskandar Siang made the kick off and thus started the match. Paijo Eiboy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amirul Keng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paijo Eiboy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amirul Keng in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8thth minute of the game Amirul Keng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malaysia's Paijo Eiboy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Singapore got a corner. Malaysia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Shukrie Hui ran over to the corner to take the kick. Amirul Keng made a great header on Singapore's corner, it was just that Malaysia's Paijo Eiboy managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Singapore's Victor Laycock got control of the ball when Rochy Sitorus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hamir Tan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Paijo Eiboy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iskandar Siang's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Singapore's Iskandar Siang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paijo Eiboy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Malaysia's Bongky Guchi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wei Xuan Lee, made in the 37th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Malaysia's zone, Muhammad Braddell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paijo Eiboy came out of the goal and Muhammad Braddell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Malaysia's goal looked a bit too open when Iskandar Siang came free, but Paijo Eiboy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Laycock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dede Martin in the 44th minute of play. Singapore's Victor Laycock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Singapore from getting a goal against them. After 47 minutes of play, Singapore's Wei Xuan Lee made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paijo Eiboy was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Malaysia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Singapore were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rochy Sitorus was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dede Martin in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Laycock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 54 in the game by Iskandar Siang from a close distance when the talented Paijo Eiboy managed to make a qualified save. Malaysia's players were relieved. In the 56th minute of the match Singapore got a corner. Malaysia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 62nd minute Dede Martin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Laycock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Singapore getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Iskandar Siang hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Shafiq Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paijo Eiboy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iskandar Siang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paijo Eiboy having to make a save. After 78 played minutes Singapore's Iskandar Siang stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Paijo Eiboy stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Malaysia of the goal.
