The U21 Iceland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orville Saucedo in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the match, Eustache Holman notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of U21 Iceland's Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson. Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Orville Saucedos short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. U21 Canada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orville Saucedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 53 played minutes U21 Iceland got a freekick which was hit by Hyltir Snorrason. 60 minutes into the game, one of U21 Iceland:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustache Holman in the 66th minute of play forced U21 Iceland's goalkeeper Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes of play, U21 Canada's Eustache Holman made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers King Baggett in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigurhjörtur Guðmarsson saved U21 Iceland from getting behind. The supporters of U21 Iceland booed when U21 Canada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Bjarmi Eymundsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augustin Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The U21 Canada fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Iceland had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
