Thanks to some nice moves Dominic Toretto could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Valentim Luciano however easily saved by the left post. U21 Argentina's Tadeo Leguizamón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Sáenz in the 6th minute of play. U21 Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Domingo Grijan in the 7th minute. After taking down the ball on U21 Peru's corner Domingo Grijan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tadeo Leguizamón quite easily take care of the ball. Valentim Luciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tatu Endira in the 10th minute of the match. Valentim Luciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tatu Endira in the 12th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Tatu Endira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valentim Luciano. The goal made the score 1-0. Waldir Sáenz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Sáenz came free, but Tadeo Leguizamón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldir Sáenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Leguizamón having to interfere. Tadeo Leguizamón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Sáenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38thth minute of the game Tatu Endira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Peru's Valentim Luciano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeo Leguizamón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Sáenz in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Waldir Sáenz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir Sáenz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dominic Toretto to strike the kick off in the second half. Gonzalo Montiel made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Peru's Héctor Chumpitaz. In the 55th minute Gervasio Gutxi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Luciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, U21 Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Tatu Endira came free, but Valentim Luciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Waldir Sáenz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. U21 Argentina made a substitution. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentim Luciano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71 minutes U21 Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Apolo Oidor who took care of the corner kick. U21 Peru's Valentim Luciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Urbez in the 74th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Ceferino Urbez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentim Luciano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. U21 Argentina's attentive Mariano Vimaro managed to snatch the ball when Héctor Chumpitaz made a throw-in in the 79th minute of the game. When U21 Argentina's Ceferino Urbez in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Peru's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, U21 Argentina's Tadeo Leguizamón got control of the ball when Armando Sotomayor tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 83 minutes U21 Argentina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Domingo Grijan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led U21 Peru's Domingo Grijan to fire away a dangerous shot which Tadeo Leguizamón despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Ceferino Urbez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Valentim Luciano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ceferino Urbez in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentim Luciano prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

U21 Argentina were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of U21 Peru for a fine match.
