Pavel Janko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tyron Velasquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. After 10 minutes, Lanny Gilmore made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. C. A Chipa y Terere's Pavel Janko tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaume Navaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aaron Smallwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaume Navaes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16thth minute of the game Tyron Velasquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A Chipa y Terere's Pavel Janko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. C. A Chipa y Terere's Pavel Janko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save C. A Chipa y Terere from getting a goal against them. Pavel Janko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 21st minute. Santos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dominic Albright in the 22nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Tory Weeks managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 26 minutes into the game, Lanny Gilmore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Pavel Janko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Lanny Gilmore kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pavel Janko. That made the score 4-0 in the 31 minute of play. Xosé Bacquet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xosé Bacquet in the 37th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilixo Somoano during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute Lanny Gilmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Janko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 55th minute of play forced C. A Chipa y Terere's goalkeeper Pavel Janko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A Chipa y Terere's goal looked a bit too open when Lanny Gilmore came free, but Pavel Janko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaume Navaes. Aaron Smallwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xosé Bacquet in the 79th minute. C. A Chipa y Terere's Pirmin Zornoza was substituted for Cortez Beloki. C. A Chipa y Terere's attentive Xuoco Morlote managed to snatch the ball when Warren Ruiz made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Gwidon Olszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Aaron Smallwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Warren Ruiz made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C. A Chipa y Terere's Xuoco Morlote. After 94 played minutes C. A Chipa y Terere got a freekick which was hit by Rayman Pertierra. Santos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
