Argir Fikov kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, Laziali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yulian Dzhumaliev to maneuver through the defense. New England Minas's Ken Rutherford couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Laziali. If Kaloyan Birazov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexi Velikov was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Val Randle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Val Randle really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaloyan Birazov in the 20th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Winford Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaloyan Birazov took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Winford Taylor. Winford Taylor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. New England Minas's Domingo Baca got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ken Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Hasin came free, but Winford Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ken Rutherford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alexi Velikov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexi Velikov made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Domingo Baca sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaloyan Birazov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Svetlin Traychev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winford Taylor having to interfere. Alexi Velikov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ken Rutherford's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Dwayne Clement shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexi Velikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexi Velikov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Rutherford in the 58th minute of play. Alexi Velikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ken Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Laziali's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Rutherford came free, but Alexi Velikov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexi Velikov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Rutherford in the 63rd minute of play. In the 70th minute Ken Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexi Velikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Svetlin Traychev kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Winford Taylor. That made the score 2-2 in the 80 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaloyan Birazov got free with Winford Taylor in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexi Velikov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ken Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tzanko Radoev fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laziali's protests and gave Tzanko Radoev a yellow card for diving instead. Tzanko Radoev kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd match minute, Laziali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argir Fikov to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Laziali players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for New England Minas.
