Domingo Lopez came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Peter Schmeichel could save by the left post. In the 31st minute, Gaudencio Orlondon made a precise shot to the right of Wilbur Hyde. El Canalla de Chicago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Peter Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Medrano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Behiç Askeroğlu came free, but Wilbur Hyde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gaudencio Orlondon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Adams, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Peter Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Adams in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Wilbur Hyde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Behiç Askeroğlu. Tom Adams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justin Raines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilbur Hyde came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gold Army 1923's Joaquin Ledesma. But to his dismay, Joaquin Ledesma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Jerold Alley replaced Matthew Medrano. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Behiç Askeroğlu put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Wilbur Hyde. 79 minutes into the match, Gold Army 1923's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Lopez came free, but Peter Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
