The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roy Holman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerry Franco in the 2nd minute. Orhan Seyfi Sancar kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute Gerry Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Holman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roy Holman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime McClendon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pueblo FC's Jaime McClendon in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Boyd Winkler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Nixon in the 10th minute of the match. Roy Holman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime McClendon, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Roy Holman came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Pueblo FC's Vern Wright. But to his dismay, Vern Wright quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Roy Holman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyrell Houser in the 23rd minute. Roy Holman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerry Franco in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Mountain West FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerry Franco came free, but Roy Holman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mountain West FC's Roy Holman got control of the ball when Vern Wright tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Dumas in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrell Houser in the 30th minute of play forced Mountain West FC's goalkeeper Roy Holman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute Mountain West FC were awarded a corner. Van Walls went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Van Walls in the 42nd minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Mountain West FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime McClendon came free, but Roy Holman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vern Wright to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jaime McClendon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Holman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roy Holman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vern Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Sammy Nixon notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler. Boyd Winkler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mountain West FC's Roy Holman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Franco in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Chris Reyna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Boyd Winkler. The goal made the score 1-2. Mountain West FC's Roy Holman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Franco in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Pueblo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammed Flanagan to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Mountain West FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vern Wright came free, but Roy Holman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roy Holman came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Pueblo FC's Vern Wright. But to his dismay, Vern Wright quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Mountain West FC's Darrell Humphrey was substituted for Chris Reyna. Gerry Franco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Vern Wright notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Mountain West FC's Roy Holman. Roy Holman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pueblo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
