Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilfredo Abel started the match with the kick off. Rabelani Thebile's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermengildo Macario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. In the 14th minute, Roberto Puch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lanús fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pingolion's goalkeeper Hermengildo Macario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match Jake Hursey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermengildo Macario skillfully saved the ball. Hermengildo Macario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Puch in the 22nd minute of the match. Hermengildo Macario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Puch, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Roberto Puch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Macario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermengildo Macario came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Lanús's Roberto Puch. But to his dismay, Roberto Puch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hermengildo Macario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Puch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rabelani Thebile took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermengildo Macario. Hermengildo Macario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 44 minutes into the game, Roberto Puch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Hermengildo Macario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Lanús's Eloy Gaskon was substituted for Roberto Puch. 54 minutes into the game, Eloy Gaskon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hermengildo Macario. Eloy Gaskon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Rabelani Thebile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Hermengildo Macario made a huge save. Pingolion's Hermengildo Macario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Gaskon in the 62nd minute of play. Eloy Gaskon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 62nd playminute. Eloy Gaskon took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermengildo Macario. Hermengildo Macario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Pingolion made a substitution. Domingo Martxot replaced Claudio Gamus. Lanús's Rabelani Thebile got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Martxot in the 74th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eloy Gaskon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermengildo Macario having to make a save. Hermengildo Macario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Gaskon, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Eloy Gaskons short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Hermengildo Macario to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lanús were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Pingolion's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jake Hursey took the corner. The corner led Lanús's Bernardino Gaztea to fire away a dangerous shot which Hermengildo Macario despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lanús's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jake Hursey in the 83rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pingolion fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Pingolion:s Hermengildo Macario showed great skill when he stopped Jake Hursey:s penalty. When Wilfredo Abel fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pingolion's protests and gave Wilfredo Abel a yellow card for diving instead. Pingolion's Hermengildo Macario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Pingolion from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute Domingo Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislao Barros succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 89th playminute. Eloy Gaskon struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Hermengildo Macario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanús. In the 94th minute, Eloy Gaskon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
