In the 19th minute Vidar Indergård shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Gjeruldsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match Emanuel Bartnes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but August Gjeruldsen skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Røkke got free with Lars-Erik Fiksdal in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Młode Smoki FC were furious when Tor-Ivar Svensli was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. The Młode Smoki FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sommarsæte were winning 1-2.

The crowd rose to their feet as Sommarsæte's Lars-Olav Hamnes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of August Gjeruldsen. That made the score 1-4 after 73 minutes of play. Młode Smoki FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Vidar Indergård scored to the left of an out of position August Gjeruldsen, making the score, 1-5.
