Gido Eulen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Ottens having to interfere. In the 6th minute Henk Bosman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Ottens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henk-Jan Groten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Hans-Cees Geerds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Mathijs van den Akker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stamproy Eendracht and the fc asbak players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hub Geerds recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 minutes, Hub Geerds made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. fc asbak's Stephan Ottens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Stamproy Eendracht booed when fc asbak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roel Mans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hub Geerds struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Stephan Ottens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stamproy Eendracht. A collision led to fc asbak getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Roel Mans hit a great ball. Henk Bosman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Bosman in the 48th minute of play forced fc asbak's goalkeeper Stephan Ottens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gertjan Roordink was the one to do the kick off. When Henk-Jan Groten came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the fc asbak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henk-Jan Groten couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristof Hanekamp during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stamproy Eendracht's Kristof Hanekamp got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hub Geerds in the 61st minute of play forced fc asbak's goalkeeper Stephan Ottens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Henk-Jan Groten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hans-Cees Geerds was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Stamproy Eendracht's Kristof Hanekamp got a free kick in the 69th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Sven Oldenbeuving was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hans-Cees Geerds had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Hugo de Boer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Sven Oldenbeuving was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. Hans-Cees Geerds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk-Jan Groten, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Henk-Jan Groten managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc asbak's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk-Jan Groten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans-Cees Geerds breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stamproy Eendracht played a much better game than fc asbak and deserved their victory. The fc asbak players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
