When Mikki Brolander came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Runners Mafia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikki Brolander couldn't finish the play. Runners Mafia's Ib Månsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ditlef Tillisch in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Runners Mafia's Mikki Brolander got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A hard shot 37 in the game by Markus Berglund from a close distance when the talented Ib Månsson managed to make a qualified save. Runners Mafia's players were relieved. Markus Berglund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Ib Månsson made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Ditlef Tillisch fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rupert Grimstrup might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ib Månsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rupert Grimstrup ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Runners Mafia's goalkeeper Ib Månsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ib Månsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Berglund in the 55th minute of the match. 12 Monkeys's Lasse Wiingaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roar Nørmølle in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of 12 Monkeys booed when Runners Mafia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesper Candelaria didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Ditlef Tillisch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ib Månsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Runners Mafia's Ib Månsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Berglund in the 70th minute of play. When 12 Monkeys's Markus Berglund in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ditlef Tillisch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ib Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, 12 Monkeys's Markus Berglund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ib Månsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ib Månsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Baunø, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ib Månsson came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by 12 Monkeys's Ditlef Tillisch. But to his dismay, Ditlef Tillisch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 12 Monkeys's Markus Berglund got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Markus Berglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 Monkeys walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
