The corner was taken by Samuel Giger in the 9th minute. The corner led Fire Devils's Samuel Giger to fire away a dangerous shot which Santiago Cañizares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save SIRI United from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute of the match Donatus Moquin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olaf Geiger skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Ibrahimović in the 17th minute of play forced SIRI United's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Iosif Vornic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olaf Geiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Petermann in the 20th minute of play. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Vornic, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Pastor Jago hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Haag in the 28th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Olaf Geiger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Ricardo Haag ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olaf Geiger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 31stth minute of the game Ricardo Haag who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fire Devils's Olaf Geiger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Dariusz Nalaskowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Cañizares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Haag's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olaf Geiger was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The corner led SIRI United's Donatus Moquin to fire away a dangerous shot which Olaf Geiger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Zlatko Ibrahimović could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Santiago Cañizares however easily saved by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zlatko Ibrahimović was the one to do the kick off. The Fire Devils fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Fire Devils's Zlatko Ibrahimović looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58thth minute of the game Dariusz Nalaskowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goalkeeper Olaf Geiger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Haag. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Nalaskowski in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Fire Devils got a corner. SIRI United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Giger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Samuel Giger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares did a great save. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Andermatt in the 67th minute of play. Mitja Wollstadt hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Fire Devils defense, Bruno Petermann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olaf Geiger. The Fire Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olaf Geiger should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, SIRI United's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Ibrahimović came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fire Devils's Zlatko Ibrahimović in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SIRI United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 78th minute Sven-Arne Bengtsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes SIRI United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Giger who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Iosif Vornic advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-2 in the 83rd minute. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 90 in the game by Ricardo Haag from a close distance when the talented Olaf Geiger managed to make a qualified save. Fire Devils's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in SIRI United's zone, Robin Andermatt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Cañizares came out of the goal and Robin Andermatt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović in the 93rd minute of the match. Mitja Wollstadt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Cañizares having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Fire Devils players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
