Spectators: 7313 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2129, VIP seats: 184) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lorenzo Hagenbuch kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Hagenbuch notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares. Santiago Cañizares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Hagenbuch in the 7th minute of play forced SIRI United's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Hagenbuch in the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerold Thoma got free with Stefan Lyle in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Makaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Amado Makaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, SIRI United's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Ghițescu came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Cañizares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amado Makaus went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in FC Thierachern's zone, Massimo Poulin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Lyle came out of the goal and Massimo Poulin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Hagenbuch in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, FC Thierachern's Lorenzo Hagenbuch made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Cañizares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stefan Lyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Massimo Poulin in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Amado Makaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Haag's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Stefan Lyle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to FC Thierachern getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marc Berthod hit a great ball. SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Ghițescu in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Amado Makaus managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Thierachern's supporters rose to their feet, but Amado Makaus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Cañizares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerold Thoma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Stefan Lyle managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when SIRI United's Ricardo Haag fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Haag stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lorenzo Hagenbuch came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the FC Thierachern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Hagenbuch couldn't finish the play. If Amado Makaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Makaus in the 63rd minute of play. SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Makaus in the 64th minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Amado Makaus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Ghițescu in the 67th minute of play forced SIRI United's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, SIRI United's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Hagenbuch. SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Makaus in the 71st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Yannick Herzog got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santiago Cañizares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of FC Thierachern booed when SIRI United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sepp Zubriggen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SIRI United getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sepp Zubriggen hit a great ball. Santiago Cañizares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anselmo Siqueira. SIRI United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Amado Makaus scored to the left of an out of position Santiago Cañizares, making the score, 0-5. The supporters of FC Thierachern booed when SIRI United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Jago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Cañizares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lorenzo Hagenbuch in the 84th minute. FC Thierachern's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Geoffrey Kreyenbühl in the 85th minute. FC Thierachern's Geoffrey Kreyenbühl was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santiago Cañizares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, SIRI United's Santiago Cañizares got control of the ball when Pavel Ghițescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Pavel Ghițescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Santiago Cañizares. That made the score 0-7 in the 91 minute of play. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Makaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
