Leo Pietro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gunnar Taevere having to make a save. 11 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Pietro came free, but Gunnar Taevere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Freestylers getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Umut Uluşahin hit a great ball. Philipp Schulz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arto Kaldmaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute of the match, Eduard Säuml got a very nice opportunity to score, but Philipp Schulz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 19th minute, Leo Pietro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunnar Taevere was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolae Chitimia got free with Philipp Schulz in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Pietro in the 26th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Gunnar Taevere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philipp Schulz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Beudel, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Gunnar Taevere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Pietro in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Beppe Catapano threw the ball into play from the sideline. Freestylers's Cesar Nafarroa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Freestylers's Simon John was substituted for Glenn Strömberg. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduard Säuml made a kick off. In the 51st minute Björn Lachenicht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Taevere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Pietro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Gunnar Taevere made a huge save. With his leg Gunnar Taevere managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Freestylers's Leo Pietro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 57 minutes into the game, Leo Pietro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gunnar Taevere. Leo Pietro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Leo Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freestylers made a substitution. Mattias Svan replaced Leo Pietro. Mattias Svan in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gunnar Taevere, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 68th minute, Freestylers's Mattias Svan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Mattias Svan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gunnar Taevere. That made the score 0-5 in the 73 minute of play. Freestylers made a substitution. Matthias Büssinger replaced Guido Eumann. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mattias Svan in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gunnar Taevere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the game, Mattias Svan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gunnar Taevere. Mattias Svan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Mattias Svan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gunnar Taevere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Svan in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute Musa Bardakçı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Taevere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galatasaray SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olli Schütz was slow to take the kick. During this time Freestylers's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Mattias Svan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Taevere was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
