Göktan Karakayas short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Esen Ergümen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Haydar Başkara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nazım Ülkenur was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarioglan JK's goalkeeper Esen Ergümen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Galip Sarper was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Avanos SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 75th minute, Şakir Dengiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nazım Ülkenur. The goal made the score 1-1. The supporters of Avanos SK booed when Sarioglan JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feridun Vecih didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Turan Kongurtay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şakir Dengiz in the 85th minute of play forced Avanos SK's goalkeeper Nazım Ülkenur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berkin Özpolat's late challenge caught a Avanos SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Göktan Karakaya got free in front of the goal in the 94th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Esen Ergümen was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Galip Sarper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avanos SK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
