Göktan Karakaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Semih Kutsal fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avanos SK's protests and gave Semih Kutsal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Avanos SK's Semih Kutsal got a free kick in the 17th minute. Feridun Vecih, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 20th minute Göktan Karakaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Ergümen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Acarbey's late challenge caught a Sarioglan JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Acarbey helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sarioglan JK booed when Avanos SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Galip Sarper to strike the kick off in the second half. If Haydar Başkara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haşmet Tükelalp hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Esen Ergümen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galip Sarper, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Haşmet Tükelalp charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haşmet Tükelalp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Avanos SK's Haşmet Tükelalp got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Göktan Karakaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sarioglan JK's Haydar Başkara got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Avanos SK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
