Legia Warszawa 【L】's Roland Dziedziak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andries Mangelschot in the 4th minute of play. Ludomil Modliszewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Pino Van Hespen made a huge save. Wladyslaw Kazczyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diederik Van Mechelen hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Joonatan Worteler kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Pino Van Hespen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juliusz Cuber. YR Mechelen's Pino Van Hespen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save YR Mechelen from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Ludomil Modliszewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pino Van Hespen was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ludomil Modliszewski made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Diederik Van Mechelen. After some careless play in the YR Mechelen defense, Ludomil Modliszewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pino Van Hespen. The YR Mechelen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pino Van Hespen should have stopped the shot. The supporters of YR Mechelen booed when Legia Warszawa 【L】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stasio Urban didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Ludomil Modliszewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legia Warszawa 【L】 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Bogumil Tscherner was substituted for Napoleon Wielopolski. Pino Van Hespen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Pino Van Hespen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladyslaw Kazczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Diederik Van Mechelen, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Corneel De Bougne charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corneel De Bougne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Corneel De Bougne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute, Juliusz Cuber sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and YR Mechelen's Pino Van Hespen didn't even have to move. There was no doubt that Legia Warszawa 【L】 were the better team. Legia Warszawa 【L】's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
