Lennart Ojarand hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Vila's Ivo Männik got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Vila got a freekick which was hit by Bert Anderson. After 29 minutes of play, Legia Warszawa 【L】's Szymon Grunwalski made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahti Eelmäe was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa 【L】's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Männik came free, but Lech Latkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marek Sagan in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahti Eelmäe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahti Eelmäe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szymon Grunwalski in the 40th minute of the match. Ahti Eelmäe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szymon Grunwalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Lech Latkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Männik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Kosecki kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With his leg Ahti Eelmäe managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Legia Warszawa 【L】's Szymon Grunwalski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Vila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legia Warszawa 【L】 the free kick. The supporters of Legia Warszawa 【L】 booed when Vila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Ojarand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahti Eelmäe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tạ Mara, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
