The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Edward Biernat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ben Turner. The goal made the score 1-0. Dom Halliday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Turner having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Warrington's Jez Pack got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Knights of the Spring's Micheal Goodman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Warrington's Ben Turner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Warrington from getting a goal against them. Ben Turner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micheal Goodman, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Micheal Goodman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Russ Webster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jez Pack, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Howard Way recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Langford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Webster having to interfere. The supporters of Warrington booed when Knights of the Spring was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Reid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jez Pack struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Russ Webster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warrington. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jez Pack in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Russ Webster prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 49th minute Warrington were awarded a corner. Dylan Brimble went to the cornerflag to take it. Warrington's Dylan Brimble was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Russ Webster in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dom Halliday made the kick off in the second half. Dom Halliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micheal Goodman in the 60th minute of play forced Warrington's goalkeeper Ben Turner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Russ Webster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Langford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Micheal Goodman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Turner having to interfere. Knights of the Spring's Dom Halliday got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ben Turner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Micheal Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ben Turner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micheal Goodman in the 77th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Warrington's goal looked a bit too open when Micheal Goodman came free, but Ben Turner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Warrington's zone, Dom Halliday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Turner came out of the goal and Dom Halliday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Micheal Goodman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dom Halliday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ben Turner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ben Turner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Micheal Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dom Halliday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Turner having to interfere. In the 95thth minute of the game Edward Biernat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Warrington's Ben Turner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Warrington's Ben Turner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Micheal Goodman in the 96th minute of play.
