Spectators: 7680 (Terracing: 5761, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jesse Benavides started the match with the kick off. In the last second Rolland Wesley throw himself and got hold of the ball when Raphael McCloud in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Jesse Benavides came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Healdsburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesse Benavides couldn't finish the play. Raphael McCloud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute Raphael McCloud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolland Wesley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Leonard Huffman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Healdsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Federal Way the free kick. In the 30th minute of the match Federal Way got a corner. Healdsburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cyrus Stein ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cyrus Stein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolland Wesley quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Ruben Redd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew Burke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesse Benavides, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Raphael McCloud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael McCloud to make the kick off. Rolland Wesley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael McCloud, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 57thth minute of the game Jesse Benavides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Federal Way's Andrew Burke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Federal Way's Andrew Burke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Federal Way from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesse Benavides in the 68th minute of play forced Federal Way's goalkeeper Andrew Burke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Healdsburg getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Leonard Huffman hit a great ball. Andrew Burke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesse Benavides in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Healdsburg's zone, Raphael McCloud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolland Wesley came out of the goal and Raphael McCloud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Shaun Gallegos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Federal Way's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shaun Gallegos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shaun Gallegos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rolland Wesley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Shaun Gallegos came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Federal Way fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shaun Gallegos couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
