After having played for 10 minutes, Domenico Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REFTS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Micah Daly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Micah Daly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alec Mann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Sizemore in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micah Daly in the 21st minute of play forced REFTS's goalkeeper Alec Mann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Micah Daly in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alec Mann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dwight Rasmussen made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Bryan Dickinson sent off a good shot on target. When Eupora's Micah Daly in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye REFTS's goalie prevented a goal. Donny Cordero was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bryan Dickinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Micah Daly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Alec Mann made a huge save. Micah Daly in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 75th minute, Micah Daly made a precise shot to the right of Alec Mann. REFTS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Eupora's Dwight Rasmussen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Dickinson in the 81st minute of play. Rhett Farley struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Alec Mann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eupora. After 84 played minutes REFTS got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Noble. Bryan Dickinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Dwight Rasmussen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Eupora's Lorenzo Esparza got a free kick in the 89th minute. The supporters of REFTS booed when Eupora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Esparza didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Eupora players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
