Peter Kunger hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, FC Mikel's Andi Scholl broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Hendrik Westerman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Mikel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hendrik Westerman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st match minute, Bannemin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswald Polzin to maneuver through the defense. FC Mikel's Hendrik Westerman got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hendrik Westerman came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FC Mikel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hendrik Westerman couldn't finish the play. Matthew Nowack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 32 minutes of play, FC Mikel's Hendrik Westerman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerrit Zurcher was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerrit Zurcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Nowack in the 39th minute of play. Veit Wojewski kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. If Matthew Nowack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half FC Mikel were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matthew Nowack made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Bannemin's goalkeeper Gerrit Zurcher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hendrik Westerman. In the 55th match minute, Bannemin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswald Polzin to maneuver through the defense. Gerrit Zurcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Nowack in the 56th minute of play. Emiliano Spickenreither took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Kunter. Johannes Kunter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 64th minute, Emiliano Spickenreither hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Adrian Wöhrl made a precise shot to the right of Johannes Kunter. FC Mikel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 78th minute of the match Benno Stockert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerrit Zurcher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Oswald Polzin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bannemin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Mikel the free kick. The supporters of FC Mikel booed when Bannemin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswald Polzin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Spickenreither scored 3-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johannes Kunter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hendrik Westerman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Gerrit Zurcher skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
