In the 11th minute, Achim Neuschwander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Gernot Witty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven Aschenbrenner struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Gerrit Zurcher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meyer Zu Bargholz. Volker Bretzel was a little too slow when Emiliano Spickenreither got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Meyer Zu Bargholz getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ari Topka hit a great ball. Gernot Witty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Zurcher having to interfere. Sven Aschenbrenner might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerrit Zurcher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven Aschenbrenner ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the match, Bannemin's goal looked a bit too open when Gernot Witty came free, but Gerrit Zurcher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bannemin's Gerrit Zurcher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernot Witty in the 44th minute of play. Gerrit Zurcher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernot Witty, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.
The wind increased when Emiliano Spickenreither made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Bannemin's Emiliano Spickenreither nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Volker Bretzel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Emiliano Spickenreither came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Bannemin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Spickenreither couldn't finish the play. Volker Bretzel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Winfried Mouratidis's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute, Bannemin's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gernot Witty fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Adrian Wöhrl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bannemin's Emiliano Spickenreither got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven Aschenbrenner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gerrit Zurcher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven Aschenbrenner kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerrit Zurcher. That made the score 2-1 in the 77 minute of play. Sven Aschenbrenner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gerrit Zurcher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Bannemin's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Aschenbrenner came free, but Gerrit Zurcher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerrit Zurcher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gernot Witty went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Bannemin's zone, Gernot Witty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerrit Zurcher came out of the goal and Gernot Witty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bannemin succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Meyer Zu Bargholz had controlled the match.
