When Jedrzej Skonieczny came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Hlonda Boyz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jedrzej Skonieczny couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Ian Marinho replaced Fred Vides. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juvenal Castro was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Marcus Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Mavericks's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Cean was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donato Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Szymon Gierasik made a huge save. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Edson Mattos hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zenon Sedzikowski during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
